  • The structure of Minnesota state government
    • The three branches of government and their roles
    • State departments, agencies and boards
  • Elections
    • Voter registration, districts and dates
    • House and Senate
    • Governor and other higher offices such as Secretary of State, Attorney General, etc.
    • Appointments, Commissioners and special elections

Co-hosted by Minnesota Rural Health Association, Minnesota Public Health Association and Minnesota Oral Health Coalition, this four-part series will provide an overview of:

 

  • The three branches of the Minnesota Government
  • Elections and appointments
  • How a bill becomes a law, and
  • How you can become involved in the legislative process

If you are interested in why it's important for rural health stakeholders to understand the legislative process, how you can be involved or how to make your voice heard, then this series is for you.
